BeBusy is operated by Craken ("Craken", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what information BeBusy collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to the BeBusy mobile app and this website.

  • Content you submit for AI task splitting — the text you enter when you use the "Split" feature to break a task into steps.
  • Device and usage information — such as app version, device type, and basic diagnostic data used to keep the app working correctly.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the core features of BeBusy, including task management and countdown timers.
  • Sync your account and task data across the devices you use.
  • Generate AI-powered task breakdowns when you use the "Split" feature.
  • Diagnose problems, maintain security, and improve the reliability of the app.
  • Communicate with you about your account or respond to support requests.

How Your Data Is Handled

Depending on how you use BeBusy, your data is handled in the following ways:

  • Account and cloud sync data. If you create an account, your account information and task data are stored on our servers so they can sync across your devices.
  • AI task splitting. When you use the "Split" feature, the text of the task you enter is transmitted to our AI provider, [AI provider — e.g. OpenAI/Anthropic, TBD], solely to generate the step-by-step breakdown you requested.
  • On-device data. Data that does not need to sync or be processed by AI — such as local app preferences and timer state you have not chosen to sync — stays on your device.

Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with a small number of third-party service providers who help us operate BeBusy, including:

  • Openrouter.ai — for generating AI task breakdowns from the text you submit via the "Split" feature.

We only share the data each provider needs to perform its function for us, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone. Any third party that receives your data on our behalf is contractually required to provide the same or equal protection of your data as described in this policy, and may not use your data for any purpose beyond providing the service to us.

Data Retention

We retain account and task data for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the app's features. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your account and task data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

Account and Data Deletion

To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at hello@bebusy.app with the request, and we will delete or anonymize your account and task data within a reasonable period, subject to the retention exceptions described above.
